2020 Canyon Dance HALEY

This was in a studio I rented for a couple weekends ago. I had some kids set up to come by and pose for me as I’m working with green screens and composite photos. Haley’s mom had been wanting me to shoot her in some dance poses. I wasn’t sure how much space we were going to have or if it would be a good spot for it, but I blocked off some time for her and it worked out great. She would tell me what the pose was going to be, do it a couple of times and I’d figure where I wanted to snap it. We tried some twirls too, but the first few test shots let me know how difficult that was going to be. I needed to fire at just the right time, limbs need to be symmetrical, hair not blocking her face, and most importantly a photogenic expression. Maybe another day! After she was done, I had her catch her breath on the make shift plank and later on worked her into a background as well. Here’s a few favorites. B
