2020 Servite Soccer DAVID

This is David, Servite’s main man between the pipes. Last year I shot Servite a few times, but David was injured. I did get to shoot him against Mater Dei for a half as he worked his way back into the line up. This season was different as David played every minute of the five games I went to. He made acrobatic saves late in many of the games and while it’s not as glamorous as scoring goals, keeping them out of the net is just as important. Against JSerra he scrambled and flailed, turning away three consecutive shots with only minutes to play. In a playoff game against Cathedral, tied 0-0 he did it again with even more drama. He saved two glorious chances late and sent the game to PKs. Cathedral scored on their first attempt and Servite was blocked. He didn’t give up and saved 3 of the next 4 to earn the win and advance.
