2022 Yorba Linda Gymnasts

Inspired by the monster Pateadores job we did together a while back, mom wanted to bring her daughter’s gymnastics team in for a session. I had just bought those lamp covers in the above shot so it seemed like a great way to break them in. We added some smoke and did some personality poses with them. I love the look, learned a few things, and I’m eager to use them again. One of the girls brought in a skinny, puffy, springy practice mat and the girls took turns jumping non-stop for a good hour I guess. Initially a lot of the jumps were technically great, but didn’t make for good photos. I wanted faces and visible limbs! After peeks at my screen and some coaching from the moms we found the zone.
