2023 Santa Ana Dons Basketball SELENA

Glad I got this call! I shot the El Dorado Basketball Girls a bunch the last few years, many games thanks to Selena having me out. Three years of high school collages for her 2020 - 2021 - 2022. I shot this one against Riverside at Santa Ana College. I haven’t been in that gym since I was in 6th grade and really into basketball. I played at the Salvation Army and my dad took me to watch the men play here. I doubt the gym was any dimmer in 1980 than it is now. Whew. I couldn’t have done this shoot with my last camera. Her dad scheduled me to come out once he was sure Selena would get minutes, and she sure did. Very similar to her high school play, with similar results. A little more team oriented, more passing, and even distribution to all players but the goal was the same… find Selena with an open shot. She averaged 22 points in conference play! The only bummer here for me is I was there on ugly jersey night. I went to check on their Instagram and they literally don’t wear these, practically ever! Ha.
